Diwali, the Festival of Lights in Indian culture, is the flagship event of ICS event calendar.
The event will be in person and we will follow State guidelines.
2023-2024 Membership Dues
Single : $65 (includes an adult (age 18 and above))
Couple : $100 (includes 2 adults)
Family : $150 (includes 2 adults and up to 3 children (under 18))

AWARD CEREMONY AT INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION IN AUGUST 2023
ICS invite you to celebrate Festival of Colors - Holi with your family & friends to shower in happiness and celebrate the colors of life!
ICS has planned a variety of fun competitions for kids and adults, dance scrumptious food, famous ICS Thandai, along with classic carnival games, popcorn, cotton candy etc. for children. The day will be filled with array of events and it will end with a riot of colors. Don't miss out, come and join the fun!
All Participants will be awarded a participation medal!!!!
Details/Rules/Information for the Poster Competition:
1. The event is open to all members of the community (ICS members and non-ICS members). This will be an in-person contest (Contest Date: January 22, 2023 @ 11:30 am to 12:30 pm HSNEF Hindu Temple. Please arrive 30 minutes prior.)
2. Registration: FREE for 2023 ICS Members; $10 for non-members. Registration opens January 9, 2023 and ends midnight on January 20, 2023.
3.Theme: Festivals of India (showcase various festivals celebrated in India).
4. Judges Selection Criteria: All entries will be judged by our judges who qualified art practitioners.
6. One entry per participant
7. Children can use any paint medium
8. Poster paper size 9x11 and up and will be provided by ICS for onsite contest
9. Participants should create a poster based on their memory.
9. There will be three age groups:
o 4 years – 6 years
o 7 years – 10 years
o 11 years – 15 years
10. 3 winners will be awarded in each category (It may vary based on participation count). Judges will score participants based on concept, creativity and drawing skills.
11. Prizes will be announced during the cultural celebration on January 28th, 2023.
Details/Rules /Information for the RANGOLI Competition:
1. The event is open to all members of the community (ICS members and non-ICS members). This will be an in-person contest (Contest Date: January 22, 2023 @ 1.00 pm to 3:00 pm HSNEF Hindu Temple. Please arrive 30 minutes prior.)
2. Registration: FREE for 2023 ICS Members; $10 for non-members. Registration opens January 9, 2023 and ends midnight on January 20, 2023.
3. Theme: Your Choice.
4. Duration : 2 hours
5. Rangoli should not exceed the size of 2ft x 2ft. The area will be designated by ICS.
6. Rangoli should be completed by end of time slot, ready for judging
7. Participants must be present at the venue 30 minutes before/prior to the start of the competition
8. Rangoli must be handmade. Any tools, such as stencils will not be allowed to make or decorate Rangoli
9. Please bear in mind that your Rangoli should not offend the viewers and is presentable to viewers of all ages.
10. Participants should bring all the required materials for their Rangoli (Rangoli Powder, Props like electric diya, leaves and flowers).
11. Rangoli should be prepared from scratch. No part of the Rangoli can be pre-made before arriving to the competition.
12. Multiple entries by one person are not allowed.
13. 3 winners will be awarded (It may vary based on participation count). Judges will score participants based on concept, creativity and Rangoli skills.
Details/Rules/Information for the Fancy Dress Competition:
1. The event is open to all members of the community (ICS members and non-ICS members)
2. Registration: FREE for 2023 ICS Members; $10 for non-members. Registration opens January 9, 2023 and ends midnight on January 23, 2023.
3. Theme: Famous personalities of ancient India (kings, queens, Saints, leaders, Personalities from ancient India)
4. Judges Selection Criteria: All entries will be judged by our judges who qualified art practitioners.
6. One entry per participant
7. Only solo performance on stage is allowed for a minimum of 1 minute and maximum of 3 minutes.
8. There will be three age groups:
o 4 years – 6 years
o 7 years – 10 years
o 11 years – 15 years
9. Winners will be awarded (It may vary based on participation count). Judges will score participants based on concept, creativity and Rangoli skills.
10. Prizes will be announced during the cultural celebration on January 28th, 2023
